Phone Hacking Allegations

The large format printing that you can see everywhere in London proclaiming justice and making the provocative statements that no-one is above the law seems pretty reasonable to mention as an introductory sentence. The reason is simple – how far has the media come recently since even political figures from the very elite have been phone tracked with their conversations well observed by journalists in the UK.
The evidence is quite clear – Mr Coulson, who was director of Cameron’s office of communications, resigned amid continuing allegations on phone hacking by senior political players. One of them was Gordon Brown who has repeatedly claimed his mobile phone has been available for journalists even by the time he was a secretary with the exchequer. His claims to the Metropolitan Police authority have been, by his words, ignored and Brown had to give more publicity to his convictions in order to gain some attention. Furthermore, recently members of the Labours have claimed they have received the same treatment from journalists and insist on tougher security and more investigations on the matter by the relevant authorities.
Labour deputy leader Harriet Harman have quite loudly expressed unwillingness to comment on Brown’s allegations but she strictly highlighted he is not the only one alleged to have been phone hacked. Furthermore, she added that the criminal law rules prohibit such interference with the personal freedom of individuals and if used for the wrong purposes such phone tracking might lead to wrong conclusions in front of the public. She expressed her hope that the authorities would consider such criminal acts and would investigate the matter more consistently so that the bad reputation Mr Coulson resigned for would be corrected. The breach in the personal security of individuals due to phone hacking would be more seriously investigated in the upcoming weeks.
